Moving

I am moving to California on April 25th. One week and one day. I will be making the journey out west alone. Some are nervous about that, of course in a sense I am as well, but I'm more excited. I will have complete freedom and will solely be depending on myself. I'm sure the long drive a head of me will bring me much doubt, it may even become my best friend while on the road. I will not let it stay. Thinking about the negative things can hurt you. For me, when I have doubt it's a chance to remember that anything is possible and with practicing patience while pursuing excellence you have a chance, an opportunity. I firmly believe everything happens for a reason, I am following my heart, while listening to my head (logic) and hoping for the very best. I have a purpose, and God created ME just the way I am for a reason.

Be blessed xoxo

Nicholas Sparks

My interest of book genres can stretch pretty far. I will state that I'm not much of a science fiction fan, or nonfiction for that matter. My mind just does not wrap around it easily and it is hard for my imagination to blossom with things that bore me to tears. I will be a typical lady for a moment and say that I love Nicholas Sparks. There I said it. I am one of "those" girls who cries during The Notebook or The Last Song or Dear John. I'm currently reading his book "The Wedding", this book in particular has been difficult for me to get into. It has its moments but it is definitely not a page turner. Nonetheless, I enjoy reading. I wish I had an hour everyday to devote to reading, some days I have an hour or more to share but not everyday. Reading is good for the mind, heart and soul. I feel like creativity stirring away inside when I read.
Oh, the simple things in life.

Christmas

And raising his eyes toward his disciples he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God is yours.
Blessed are you who are now hungry, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who are now weeping, for you will laugh.
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you, and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
Rejoice and leap for joy on that day! Behold, your reward will be great in heaven. For their ancestors treated the prophets in the same way.

Luke 6:20-23

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

I'm awful

I'm terrible with updating in my blog. I prefer writing in my 2 journals that I have. If I could figure out how to load videos on this thing I would add a song of the day a couple times a week. I love, love, LOVE music therefore I would like to share songs that motivate me and encourage me. Music is beautiful. Music is inspirational. Music is art, everyone is apart of this art because in some way, shape or form music is expressed in everyone's life.

Struggling:

A sudden sadness has recently started to weigh heavily on my heart. I realize I am not perfect, and I have done some things I am not proud of. I ask myself though, is that not part of growing up?

Of course it is about growing up, learning who you are and learning to appreciate what/who is in your life. I have hurt people by a simple word, hurt myself by a simple act, and confused people by a certain look. It has never been my intention to hurt anyone. There are so many things that get misinterpreted. And this is where it leaves me......it does not matter if something was said 1 month ago or 5 years ago. This sadness that has fallen upon me is a reflection of many things. I can only push forward and chose to love. I chose love. I give thanks to many people and an apology to others.

I want to make peace.

Acceptance

Somebody once said to me "ones greatest success is being themselves". I wholeheartedly believe this. Acceptance is also another personal victory. The more you focus on God, the more fully you can enjoy life. Glorify Him and proclaim His presence to the watching world. Accept yourself in your weariness, know that you are beautiful and deeply loved by an extraordinary creator! Always be true to yourself and accept who you are and who you are meant to be.

I never mean any harm, I just want to love.

Scrapbooking

It is almost time to develop pictures from another trip that I took while I was in Europe. Every time I pick up the prints, it makes me want to start scrapbooking again. Not only do I want to start scrapbooking with pictures from my trip, it makes me want to begin putting a collage together with wall decor and furniture that I would love to have in my house one day.

I saw a revolving bookshelf today at pottery barn! I want it so bad. No reason for it right now but one day......... :)

X Factor

I had the opportunity to be apart of the audience for X Factor. I found it very exciting because I will be on TV and I am considered an "extra". How exciting for someone who is building a resume. Simon Cowell is still my absolutely favorite. He has some of the wittiest/hilarious one liners.

Work:

Work was very successful this week. In 5 days I worked 46 hours and I was on my feet a majority of the time since I am a waitress. Needless to say, my feet hurt but my wallet is a little happier.

Texas Championship

The Dallas Mavericks won the championship last night! I'm not going to even pretend that I'm a basketball fan but I'm happy for them and all their fans. It's their first championship and they have worked hard. The basketball games are ALWAYS on at work so I have been watching the games, just not cheering for any one team.

Home

Chantal Kreviazuk - Feels Like Home
Something in your eyes, makes me wanna lose myself
Makes me wanna lose myself, in your arms
There's somethin' in your voice, makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts, the rest of my life

If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how long I've been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you've done

It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong

I was watching How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and I heard this song playing softly in the background, right as they both realized they loved one another. This song touched my heart. It is a beautiful song and has meaningful lyrics that I hope one day I can relate to.

Relationships:

Relationships of all kinds take:

1. Respect
2. Trust
3. Communication
4. Support
5. Equality
6. Love
7. Laughter

Those are in no particular order but those are seven things in MY opinion that create a good relationship. Life is too precious and too short to continuously put energy, time and emotions into someone who does not even give you the time of day, so-to-speak. This can include friends, significant others, family, co-workers, anyone really.

I have always loved the saying "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS". I believe that will forever stay true, of course not in all situations, but in most.
